The Residential Field Crew Foreman is responsible for leading a small, disciplined crew to build high-quality homes by working from clear plans, utilizing the right materials, and receiving real support. This role involves leading from the front with tools in hand, maintaining high standards for every detail to ensure continuous improvement on projects. The foreman's objective is not just to deliver a home, but to contribute to a system that enhances the efficiency and quality of future builds.

Requirements

Broad and deep experience across various construction trades.
Minimum of 8 years of experience on job sites.
Experience seeing projects through to completion.
Ability to read and understand construction plans.
Proven leadership skills, leading by example and holding others to high standards.
Comfortable being an authority figure and asking for help when needed.
Ability to remain calm, decisive, and firm under pressure.
Constant communication and proactive flagging of potential issues.

Responsibilities

Lead a tight, safe construction site, ensuring daily safety briefings and documenting near-misses.
Oversee and perform work across multiple building trades including framing, waterproofing, window and door installation, finish carpentry, and tile work.
Lead by example through hands-on work, setting high standards for craft and mentoring the team.
Ensure materials are available when needed, drawings are clear, and inspections are called when ready.
Collaborate on project schedules, providing input on realistic timelines and managing the schedule effectively.
Communicate proactively with Project Managers and designers, flagging potential issues early.
Provide feedback on materials and processes to improve future projects.
Build and lead a motivated field team.
