About The Position

Limitless Electric is seeking a Residential Electrical Consultant / Service Electrician to be a key representative of their growing residential electrical company. This role is designed for an experienced electrician who excels in service work, sales, estimating, problem-solving, and building customer relationships. The position involves running 3-4 residential service appointments daily, handling both smaller repairs and larger projects like panel upgrades, EV chargers, and rewiring. For larger projects, the responsibilities include evaluation, scoping, pricing, presentation, sales, documentation, and then a clean handover to the installation team. The focus is on maintaining the service schedule, ensuring customer satisfaction, identifying opportunities, and providing well-scoped work to installation crews, rather than spending extended time on large installations.

Requirements

Strong residential electrical experience
Connecticut electrical license appropriate for independently performing the work assigned
Strong understanding of residential electrical systems and the NEC
Ability to troubleshoot residential electrical problems
Ability to accurately estimate labor and materials
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable presenting pricing and asking customers to move forward
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to use a CRM, tablet, estimating software, and other basic technology
Professional appearance and attitude
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Ability to work independently without constant supervision
High level of personal accountability

Responsibilities

Run approximately 3-4 residential service calls and consultations per day
Diagnose residential electrical problems and complete qualifying repairs
Meet homeowners and understand their goals
Inspect existing electrical systems and identify appropriate solutions
Explain electrical issues clearly to homeowners
Build accurate estimates based on labor, materials, job conditions, and scope
Present options and help homeowners make decisions
Close residential electrical projects
Identify additional electrical needs within the home
Take detailed photos, measurements, and project notes
Build clear scopes of work for installation electricians
Hand larger sold projects off to the installation team
Follow up with open estimates and opportunities
Maintain strong customer relationships for repeat business and referrals
Keep accurate records in the CRM
Track performance metrics including sales, close rate, average ticket, and profitability
Stay current with electrical codes, products, permits, and residential best practices
