About The Position
UCP Heartland is seeking compassionate and committed Residential DSP's (Direct Care Professional) for a part-time position. UCP Heartland offers a positive, team-driven work environment. As a DSP (Direct Care Provider), you will perform various responsibilities to support individuals living with disabilities. Your work will make a difference in people's lives. This role requires a minimum of one weekend shift per weekend and involves mandatory paid training.
Requirements
- High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).
- Valid Drivers’ license
- Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
- A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Computer Proficiency
- Reliable transportation

Responsibilities
- Provide physical assistance with daily tasks, assist with personal hygiene and facilitate fun activities.
- Follow medical orders and administer medications.
- Assist with ADL's; Lift and Transfer (including ceiling lifts, repositioning in wheelchair, etc.).
- Adaptive transportation.
- Shift documentation using Set-Works and general housekeeping.
- Provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings.
