About The Position
UCP Heartland is seeking compassionate and committed PERSONAL ASSISTANTS (Direct Care Providers) for PART-TIME shifts. UCP Heartland offers a positive, team driven, work environment at $21.00/Hour. This is a set 8 hours/week schedule for Sundays from 7 AM to 3 PM in Mehlville (South County). As a PERSONAL ASSISTANT/DSP (Direct Care Provider), you will perform various responsibilities to support individuals living with disabilities, making a difference in their lives.
Requirements
- High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).
- Valid Drivers’ license
- Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
- A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Computer Proficiency
- Reliable transportation

Responsibilities
- Provide physical assistance with daily tasks, assist with personal hygiene and facilitate fun activities.
- Follow medical orders and administer medications.
- Assist with ADL's; Lift and Transfer (includes ceiling lifts, repositioning in wheelchair, etc), Adaptive transportation.
- Shift Documentation using Set-Works and general housekeeping.
- Provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings.
