RESIDENTIAL DSP P-T, Mehlville (ER/F) Sun 7a-3p (8 Hrs Weekly)
About The Position
UCP Heartland is seeking compassionate and committed PERSONAL ASSISTANTS (Direct Care Providers) for PART-TIME shifts. UCP Heartland offers a positive, team driven, work environment at $21.00/Hour. This is a set 8 hours/week schedule for Sundays from 7 AM to 3 PM. As a PERSONAL ASSISTANT/DSP (Direct Care Provider), you will provide physical assistance with daily tasks, assist with personal hygiene, and facilitate fun activities. You will follow medical orders and administer medications, assist with ADL's, including lifting and transferring (using ceiling lifts, repositioning in wheelchairs, etc.), and adaptive transportation. Responsibilities also include shift documentation using Set-Works and general housekeeping. Most importantly, you will provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings. FEMALE APPLICANTS ONLY, PER CLIENT REQUEST. Requirements
- High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).
- Valid Drivers’ license
- Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
- A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Computer Proficiency
- Reliable transportation
- 5-7 days of mandatory training at our corporate office Monday through Friday 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM
Responsibilities
