Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP)
About The Position
The Arc Erie County NY is hiring Residential Direct Support Professionals to support adults with developmental disabilities at residential locations across Western New York. The role involves direct interaction and hands-on support. It can be rewarding and also requires patience, teamwork, consistency, reliability, compassion, and commitment to showing up for the people supported. Paid training is provided, and no prior experience is needed. Full-time and part-time shifts are available, including day, evening, and overnight schedules. The listed pay is $22.89 per hour, with no shift or site differential.
Requirements
- Valid New York State driver's license and approved driving record.
- Upbeat, positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Human services experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with individuals and provide hands-on direct care.
- Assist with daily routines such as meals, activities, and personal care.
