About The Position

Attleboro Enterprises, Inc. (AEI) is hiring Direct Care Professionals for its Lakeville residential home to support adults with developmental disabilities. The role helps residents build life skills, participate in their communities, and pursue healthier, more independent lives. Staff support residents in working toward the goals in their Individual Service Plans while promoting independence, dignity, inclusion, and a positive image in the community. A variety of shifts are available, including evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current MAP (Medication Administration Program) certification, or willingness to obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment.
• Physical capability to assist with transfers of adults to and from wheelchairs and other adaptive equipment.
• Acceptable Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Ability to work effectively with multicultural and multilingual populations and multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

• Current MAP certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist and teach residents everyday living skills, including cooking, housekeeping, and maintaining their living spaces.
• Promote healthy lifestyles through proper nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being.
• Transport and accompany residents to religious services, cultural events, recreational activities, banking, medical appointments, and employment.
• Help residents work toward the goals and objectives outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
• Promote residents’ independence, dignity, inclusion, and positive image in the community.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client and employee information, records, documents, and communications.
