About The Position

The Residential Designer will act as the visionary designer for the everyday dreamer, responsible for translating a client's 'wants and needs' into a tangible, buildable reality while maintaining structural integrity. This role involves creating comprehensive construction plans that serve as blueprints for builders and other end users. The position requires direct client interaction to understand their needs, developing concept floor plans and exterior elevations, and transforming them into construction documents (blueprints). The role also includes understanding roof, truss, and floor loads, performing job site visits for field measurements and to identify existing structural components, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, creative, a strong communicator, comfortable with computers, and able to meet deadlines and work under pressure. As the role progresses, there will be opportunities to assist in training and motivating new team members.

Responsibilities

Develop concept floor plan layouts and exterior elevations
Transform concept floor plans/elevations into construction documents (Blue Prints)
Work directly with clients to discuss their wants/needs
Understand roof, truss & floor loads
Provide clients with the BEST service they have ever experienced
Meet deadlines and work under pressure
Perform job site visits to get field measurements and identify existing structural components
Present plans, products, and services to the customer
Assist in training and motivating new team members as you grow in your role
