About The Position

The Residential Counselor provides direct and indirect services to individuals and groups of members served at Serenity House, a 13-bed, short-term intensive Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) program for adults in San Mateo County who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The program operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year-round. Clients may be referred from a hospital, jail, community, or self-referred. The program aims to help clients avoid inpatient hospitalization and emergency services, regain stability, and begin working toward longer-term recovery goals. The role includes driving clients to appointments and groups using a company vehicle. The advertised schedule is a short-hour PM shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Sunday through Monday. Starting pay is $24.59–$29.64 per hour, with geographic differentials and starting pay based on relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Requirements

• High school graduation or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of direct service experience in a mental health setting.
• Valid and current driver's license.
• Personal vehicle insurance with the applicant listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups.
