About The Position

Join our compassionate and collaborative team as a Residential Coordinator, where you will play a key leadership role in supporting both staff and clients within a residential behavioral health setting. In this role, you will supervise Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), ensure compliance with program policies and regulatory standards, and collaborate with the treatment team to maintain quality care and effective program operations. You will serve as a leader, mentor, and resource to staff while ensuring client needs are met in a safe and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or closely related field OR High School diploma or equivalent with two (2) years of experience in mental health or substance use treatment and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and current auto insurance
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to supervise, coach, and develop staff effectively
  • Knowledge of behavioral health and substance use treatment best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong documentation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in crisis situations

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and support Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) in daily responsibilities
  • Interview, hire, and onboard new technician staff under supervision of leadership
  • Monitor daily client activities and ensure adherence to program rules, expectations, and safety protocols
  • Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to staff
  • Conduct regular observations of staff interactions, including review of video monitoring when applicable
  • Ensure staff are properly trained on program policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Schedule staff in accordance with program needs and maintain appropriate coverage levels
  • Monitor and manage overtime while ensuring staffing compliance
  • Facilitate staff meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions and maintain required documentation
  • Support client orientation processes including program rules, expectations, and rights
  • Monitor medication management practices and ensure adherence to standards and protocols
  • Ensure compliance with urine analysis (UA) procedures and other clinical processes
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and provide input regarding client care and staff performance
  • Track and monitor staff training requirements, including Relias compliance
  • Complete staff evaluations and performance documentation within required timelines
  • Promote a safe, therapeutic, and recovery‑focused environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
