About The Position

Keel Custom Homes is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the charge in delivering outstanding custom homes on our clients' lots. This role involves managing the full project cycle, from planning to completion, within a company that values service, integrity, and the pursuit of excellence. Keel Custom Homes specializes in custom and semi-custom homes, focusing on providing homeowners with a seamless and enjoyable building process. The company has an ambitious goal to close 500 homes by 2035 and is on an exciting journey of growth. As a Project Manager, you will oversee the entire construction process, working closely with design, estimating, and sales teams to ensure projects run smoothly, meet client expectations, and are delivered on time and within budget. Your leadership and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing residential construction projects, preferably custom or semi-custom homes.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management tools, such as Buildertrend, and familiarity with local building codes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and client management skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project kickoff meetings, define project scope, and develop and manage detailed schedules using Buildertrend.
  • Oversee day-to-day on-site activities, monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and provide financial updates to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, manage inspections, and address punch lists before project closeout.
  • Regularly meet with clients to provide weekly updates, manage expectations, and ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Manage subcontractor activities and vendor relations, ensuring timely deliveries and contract compliance.
  • Identify project risks, implement contingency plans, and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular progress reports to the leadership team.
  • Coordinate with project teams, monitor performance, and facilitate team development.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and project delivery.
