About The Position

Windstar Homes is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Manager to manage high-quality custom homes from pre-construction through completion. The role oversees day-to-day construction, coordinates subcontractors and suppliers, maintains project schedules and documentation, monitors workmanship, and supports an exceptional homeowner experience. The manager is expected to uphold Windstar Homes' quality standards, applicable building codes, and expectations for safe, clean, organized job sites. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of distinctive custom residential projects and collaborate with homeowners and experienced industry professionals.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction.
• Minimum 3 years of experience building custom homes.
• Proven experience managing residential construction projects from start to completion.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling and project coordination.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, and the Windstar Homes team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Florida Building Code experience preferred.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day construction of custom homes from start to finish.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and other construction professionals.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules and keep projects on track.
• Review plans, specifications, selections, and project documents to ensure work is completed accurately.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure construction meets Windstar Homes' quality standards, project specifications, and applicable building codes.
• Conduct job-site inspections and proactively identify and resolve construction issues.
• Coordinate inspections and work with local building officials as needed.
• Manage material deliveries and availability to maintain the construction schedule.
• Communicate regularly with subcontractors, vendors, and the Windstar Homes team about project progress and issues.
• Maintain accurate construction documentation, including schedules, change orders, inspections, and punch lists.
• Oversee punch-list completion and ensure homes meet Windstar Homes' quality standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors while holding them accountable to schedule and quality expectations.
• Represent Windstar Homes professionally throughout the building process.
