About The Position

The Residential Cleaning Technician provides cleaning services to Schuman Cleaning Service clients in accordance with client and company specifications. The role involves cleaning residential areas, using company-approved techniques and equipment, working safely around pets, and providing professional customer service. Technicians work at different sites daily and may visit several sites in one day. The position has no direct or indirect reports.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be willing to undergo a background investigation, including applicable driving record, criminal background, reference, and credit checks; employment offers are conditioned on successful completion.
Be willing to submit to drug and alcohol screening.
Have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Have strong attention to detail in meeting the company’s cleaning standards.
Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Maintain a professional, engaging, and pleasant demeanor.
Work safely and efficiently.
Perform cleaning duties according to specified techniques and instructions.
Safely and effectively use specified cleaning equipment and appropriate personal protective equipment.
Lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Stand and move for more than 8 hours a day; stoop, bend, crawl, climb ladders, and perform other activities requiring a full range of motion.
Work in a non-office environment with ongoing exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, fumes, sprays, mists, and other elements, and occasional exposure to outdoor elements.
Work at different sites daily and occasionally at multiple sites in the same day.

Responsibilities

Clean bathroom fixtures, showers and tubs, floors, kitchens, carpets, and furniture, among other areas and items.
Perform duties safely in accordance with the company’s Safety Program Handbook.
Complete work promptly and efficiently according to job specifications and supervisor instructions.
Report to Schuman’s headquarters at the assigned time.
Wear the required uniform and personal protective equipment.
Move furniture and other items as needed for cleaning.
Work safely around pets using appropriate pet-friendly products and methods, and prevent pets from leaving the home.
Maintain a positive attitude, provide outstanding customer service, and work well as part of a team while representing the company positively.
Follow site exit procedures, including securing the premises, locking doors and windows, and activating the alarm system as applicable.
Maintain equipment in good working condition and return it to its proper location after use.
Immediately report accidents, injuries, security violations, maintenance issues, and broken or malfunctioning equipment to a supervisor and/or team lead.
Learn and use company cleaning techniques in accordance with company specifications and requirements.
Attend and actively participate in required company meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assist in other divisions as needed.
