About The Position

Kahut Waste Services, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Class B CDL Driver to join our team in Clackamas & Canby, Oregon. The schedule is Monday-Friday, starting at 5:30 AM until the route is completed, typically averaging about 45 hours a week. This is a safety-sensitive position with a starting wage of $36.00/HR.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year commercial driving experience utilizing a Class B license REQUIRED
Stable work history (at least 2 years in most recent position)
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Clean driving record and compliance with DOT regulations (49 CFR 383.51)
Ability to handle the physical demands of the job
Basic knowledge of truck components for pre- and post-trip inspections
Position requires clean drug panel screening, clean motor vehicle report and eligible criminal background check to be eligible for employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Operating an automated side load vehicle on specified routes depending on business needs.
Safely servicing customers throughout the day, completing up to 900 stops per day.
Reading route tablet and servicing each customer identified on the route tablet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Performing routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Performing a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
Operating hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash/recycle at designated facilities.
Courteous interaction with customers and performing other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
