About The Position

Legacy Behavioral Health is seeking a Residential Care Specialist to join their team. This role provides services to consumers with a MH, SA, or Dual Diagnosis in a 24/7 community-based residential program. Responsibilities include providing skills training and education on daily living skills such as budgeting, performing household chores, personal hygiene, social skills, and meal preparation. The role also involves case management services, linking consumers to community resources, assisting with transportation, and observing medication intake. Monitoring and documenting consumer progress in treatment is also a key function. Computer knowledge and extensive documentation are required. The position requires flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid GA driver’s license with less than 5 points.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain CPR Certification.
  • Computer knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to consumers with a MH, SA, or Dual Diagnosis in a 24/7 community based residential program.
  • Provide skills training and education on daily living skills such as budgeting, performing household chores, personal hygiene, social skills, and meal preparation.
  • Provide case management services such as linking to community resources.
  • Assist with transportation.
  • Observe consumers take medications as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document consumer progress in treatment using designated format and within established time frames.
  • Extensive documentation is required.
