About The Position

Are you passionate about mental health and looking for a meaningful career where you can make a real impact? Residential Care Specialists work under the supervision of the Residential Site Manager and provide support to individuals living in a 24/7 community residential program who have mental health, substance use, or co-occurring diagnoses. They help residents learn and practice daily living skills and support them as they work toward becoming more independent.

The Residential Care Specialist will be supervised by the Site Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Valid GA driver’s license with less than 5 points
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain CPR Certification
• Basic computer skills
• Detailed documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Helping residents connect with community resources
• Providing transportation when needed
• Making sure medications are taken as prescribed
• Monitoring and documenting residents’ progress according to program guidelines and timelines
• Varying hours of duty to provide monitoring, educational and/or crisis handling
• Travel to off campus locations in BHSGA or personal vehicle
