About The Position

This position will provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in our residential treatment Bethel Park location. We’re looking for people who have experience developing and mentoring a team, and who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities. This position will work in a small 3-bed Mental Health Support Home located in a neighborhood setting in Bethel Park., conveniently located across from South Park. While required daily tasks to ensure the health and well-being of the residents and site are of utmost importance, this position offers many opportunities to engage with the residents both on site and out in the community. Along with daily interactions and conversations, staff are highly encouraged to help support the resident’s well-being through socialization, developing and encouraging participation of both and on and off-site activities, shopping, trips, and other activities that support their social and personal well-being. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services OR High School Diploma/Equivalency and 1 year of direct care experience
  • Ability to drive an organization automobile/van

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in a residential treatment setting.
  • Ensure the health and well-being of residents and the site.
  • Engage with residents both on site and out in the community.
  • Support resident well-being through socialization, developing and encouraging participation in on and off-site activities, shopping, trips, and other activities.
  • Cook, clean, manage medications, take residents to appointments, interact with family members, and design games and crafts.
