About The Position

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is seeking a Full Time Residential Assistant for their Pathways to Housing Program, located in Newark, NJ. This role involves ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents, adhering to risk management and safety procedures, and demonstrating knowledge of cleaning agents and infection control. Requirements

High school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of related experience preferred
3 years of experience working with the homeless population in lieu of a HS diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Follows proper risk management and safety procedures including the use of warning signs and clean up procedures
Demonstrates understanding of the cleaning agents, their proper application, and the directions for utilizing them
Demonstrates competencies for infection control and safety, including standard precautions, wearing gloves, hand washing, proper cleaning techniques, and hazard communications
Immediately reports safety issues or other job related concerns to the supervisor
Maintains a clean environment in a timely manner and follows established routine
