As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a residential location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support residents, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. You will report security-related concerns and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a caring, people-first approach.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential common areas, building interiors, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, documenting observations and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
