As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a Shelter location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to residents and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a residential location.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain awareness of individuals entering and leaving the property.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately; prepare clear reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
