About The Position

This position is temporary and involves participating as a team member of the assigned unit and assisting counseling staff in providing a variety of alcohol—and drug-related services. Requirements

  • Requires High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn the dynamics of substance use, alcohol, and its effects.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to follow directions.
  • CPR and First-Aid certification (initial training and renewals paid for by agency).
  • Valid driver's license and insurability.
  • Basic computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a substance misuse setting or human service agency.
  • A Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining the unit in an organized, clean, and efficient manner.
  • Transports patients to and from appointments, support groups, employment searches, etc.
  • Maintains security of assigned units by CTP policy and procedure.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting child abuse or neglect to the unit supervisor and area director when applicable.
  • Monitors patients and their activities.
  • Accurately documents activities of each patient during assigned shift.
  • Responsible for reporting all patient infractions, concerns, or problems to the primary counselor or supervisor.
