About The Position
Recovering Hope Treatment Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time Residential Advocate to join their team in Mora, MN. This role is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart a career in healthcare, with no prior experience required. The primary focus is on helping women and families overcome substance use disorders by providing a safe and nurturing environment. The Residential Advocate plays a key role in offering emotional support and overseeing recovery activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Comfortable with computers and basic tech
- Frequently communicate with employees, parents, clients and other individuals with key relationships. This requires receiving and providing accurate information in writing or verbally, in these situations.
- Frequently reach above shoulder height to reach necessary items, including supplies, medications, etc.
- Frequently complete repetitive tasks.
- Sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Lift up to 60 lbs. from floor to waist height.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate recovery activities and support clients with daily living tasks.
- Engage with clients, their children, and families with compassion.
- Conduct room checks, transport clients, and maintain building security.
- Keep client records updated and handle essential administrative tasks.
- Assist with intake, discharge, and visiting hours.
