About The Position

Responsible for overseeing and monitoring all activities, duties, and responsibilities of the Residential Advisors on assigned shift and ensuring compliance with PRH requirements for the Residential Department. This role involves directing and planning for the Social Development Department’s needs, managing residential living activities to ensure student needs are met, and providing regular activity reports to Center Management. The position requires ensuring orderly and clean living conditions, promoting self-discipline, and assisting students with special problems. Collaboration with other departments is necessary to address student issues. The role also includes facilitating assistance to students during emergencies and attending required staff training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
  • Two years’ experience working with youth and young adults
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and relate to disadvantaged youths
  • Must be able to obtain a State driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/1st Aid & AED certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate staff, and model professional behaviors

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with PRH requirements for the Residential Department.
  • Direct and plan for the Social Development Department’s needs.
  • Manage the activities of residential living to ensure student needs are met.
  • Provide monthly and weekly activity reports to Center Management.
  • Ensure orderly and clean living conditions in dormitories.
  • Promote self-discipline and awareness of others by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring staff and student behavior.
  • Assist students in handling special problems.
  • Conduct dormitory meetings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure student issues and concerns are addressed and resolved.
  • Attend required staff training sessions.
  • Facilitate prompt and appropriate assistance to students in the event of injury, illness, emotional trauma, arrest, trouble at home, and other traumatic experiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
