About The Position

Lake Ridge Care Center is hiring a Resident Transportation Driver in Buffalo, MN. This role involves safely operating a passenger bus to transport residents to various destinations such as scheduled events, appointments, outings, and activities. The bus can accommodate up to 12 residents with 2 wheelchairs, or up to 8 residents with 4 wheelchairs. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, possess a positive attitude, have experience supporting seniors, and be capable of managing scheduled trips and maintaining the bus.

Requirements

• Good driving record: no moving violations for the last two years.
• Must pass the MnDOT physical examination and a criminal background check.
• Capable of operating bus lift and strapping wheelchairs into the bus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, outgoing and positive personality.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with people with memory loss and physical disabilities is desired.

Responsibilities

• Drive the bus for scheduled resident and employee outings.
• Complete proper documentation for MnDOT including daily logs and quarterly reports.
• Track and schedule maintenance for the bus.
• Complete daily upkeep for the bus including filling up gas, washer fluid, cleaning the bus, etc.
• Complete additional tasks as requested.
