The Driver ensures residents receive appropriate assistance during outings and fulfills all operational tasks involving driving. Requirements

Minimum 6 months of experience as a bus/van driver.
Valid and current driver's license for vehicle class driven at time of hire.
Willingness and ability to obtain a CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
Current CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain them.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must possess and maintain a clean DMV driving record.
Knowledge of the surrounding neighborhood area.
Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to deal with stress and the needs of older adults.
Ability to use a client and customer-focused approach to problem-solving and goal-setting.
Sensitivity to the needs of older adults.

Responsibilities

Transporting residents to and from appointments and outings using community vehicles (bus, van, limousine, sedan, and trams).
Ensuring residents receive all appropriate assistance during outings.
Fulfilling all operational tasks involving driving.
