About The Position

TGTHR Resident Support Specialist Position Reports to: 1440 Program Manager Supervises: N/A FLSA Status: Part-Time (20 hours/week), Non-Exempt Location: 1440 Pine, Boulder CO Compensation: $22-$24 per hour Deadline: The application will be open from August 31, 2026 - September 14, 2026. ABOUT 1440 PINE Using a Housing First model, 1440 Pine provides stable, affordable housing paired with supportive services to help tenants transition to independence and prevent long-term homelessness. More than just a place to live, 1440 Pine offers supportive services to increase stability, creative spaces, and a strong sense of community—empowering young people to build brighter futures and permanently exit homelessness. POSITION SUMMARY As a Resident Support Specialist, you’ll help make that a reality by creating a positive, trauma-informed environment where youth can heal, grow, and thrive.

Requirements

  • Experience working with youth or vulnerable populations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
  • Work experience in lieu of a degree will be accepted.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a willingness to learn about the intersections of youth homelessness, race, gender, and identity.
  • Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with computerized office systems (e.g., Google Suite to include Gmail and Google Docs, phone systems).
  • Conflict mediation and resolution skills.
  • Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.
  • Trauma-responsive, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive approach.
  • Creativity, flexibility, and resilience under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills.
  • At least one year of paid or volunteer experience in a related field.
  • Experience with Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a safe, stable, and empowering living space.
  • Provide day-to-day engagement and emotional support to residents.
  • Help youth build independent living skills including but not limited to budgeting, cooking, and personal care.
  • Use crisis-intervention and de-escalation skills when needed.
  • Facilitate life-skills groups and community activities that promote connection and accountability.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation daily in SalesForce and other data bases as needed.
  • Collaborate with the broader supportive services team.
  • Drive residents to appointments and community resources.
  • Support TGTHR’s mission of ending youth homelessness through compassion, structure, and teamwork.
