About The Position

The Resident Information Research Tech reports to the Residency Coordinator and is responsible for providing administrative support to the Medical Director, Program Director, faculty, residents, medical students, and coordinators. This position is located at Kingsport Family Medicine.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of office experience in business and/or healthcare.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of residency software, electronic medical records and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the Medical Director, Program Director, faculty, residents, medical students, and coordinators.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and being a team player.
  • Communicating effectively.
  • Organizing, managing multiple tasks efficiently, and independently monitoring projects to successful completion.
  • Accepting responsibility and demonstrating discretion and good judgment.

  • Effectively utilizing computer software to accomplish duties, including programs for word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, resident application system, and resident/faculty system.
  • Locating, understanding, communicating, and complying with Tennessee Board of Regents, ETSU, and Family Medicine policies, guidelines, and procedures for all activities.
  • Learning and efficiently assimilating new technologies, hardware, and software into daily functions.
  • Electronically creating, storing, editing, and transmitting documents and photos in portable document format (pdf).
  • Gathering and compiling data for a variety of purposes.
