About The Position

Schochet is seeking a full-time Resident Services Coordinator to join our team at Hamilton Wade Douglas House Apartments. This role is ideal for someone passionate about connecting people to services, building community partnerships, and creating engaging programs for older adults living in affordable housing. Schochet is a full-service real estate development and management company dedicated to providing enriched housing alongside strong resident support services. Our team of 20 Resident Services Coordinators plays a vital role in supporting residents and enhancing the quality of life across our properties.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Portuguese, Haitian Creole or Spanish required.
  • BS in Social Work or 2-3 years’ experience in social services delivery with older adults.
  • Team player.

Responsibilities

  • Connect residents to services, resources, and support, including assessments, education, referrals to service providers, and ongoing monitoring of support.
  • Address topics such as resources for aging in place, rental assistance, benefits and entitlements, food assistance, and mental health.
  • Establish onsite wellness programs and events through relationships with community partners and/or utilizing the RSC programming budget.
  • Organize celebrations to prevent isolation and build community, and host lectures on health topics and general wellbeing, such as fraud prevention or computer classes.
  • Advocate, organize, and problem-solve to obtain results for residents.
  • Establish relationships with community agencies and service providers who will provide direct services to residents.
