Resources for Community Development (RCD) is a nonprofit developer and owner of affordable housing with over 40 years of experience. RCD's mission is to create and preserve affordable housing for those with the fewest options, aiming to build community and enrich lives. They foster strong, inclusive neighborhoods by addressing health, economic development, education, and housing needs. RCD has developed or preserved over 75 communities, providing affordable, high-quality, and service-enriched housing to over 3,000 low-income households in the Bay Area, with a significant pipeline of new units under development. The organization is seeking an outstanding candidate to join their team. The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) plays a crucial role in supporting RCD's mission by providing onsite engagement to residents. The primary responsibility is connecting individuals and groups with community resources and educational programming, with a focus on supporting vulnerable populations such as seniors, families, and individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS or homelessness. The role encompasses five key areas: housing retention; economic stability and employment/education; health and wellness; social engagement and community development; and youth enrichment across multiple RCD properties. The RSC will collaborate with residents, RCD staff, property management, and third-party providers to help residents achieve personal goals and overcome challenges. Ideal candidates will be resourceful, flexible, and committed to promoting access to social services that enhance resident housing stability, health, education, employment, and youth enrichment.
