About The Position

Dismas Charities is a leading not-for-profit provider of community-based adult re-entry programs. This entry-level position focuses on maintaining the custody, security, control, and upkeep of the facility and its residents. The role requires assisting individuals in their transition to becoming productive citizens. Due to contractual obligations, applicants must identify as MALE for this position. Requirements

Must identify as MALE for this position due to contractual obligations.
Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to work with individuals and groups in both routine and emergency situations.
One year of paid work experience.

Responsibilities

Monitors residents by observing, documenting, and ensuring accountability within the facility and in the community, enforcing all rules, responsibilities, and restrictions.
Provides control and documentation of transactions related to money, subsistence, medications, first-aid supplies, mail, visitors, accountability checks, and telephone calls.
Assists with managing program services, including installing electronic monitoring equipment, visiting residents at home and work, and providing alcohol and urine surveillance testing.
Conducts and documents scheduled internal and external inspections of the premises to maintain resident health, safety, and accountability.
Ensures physical plant safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
Maintains working knowledge and follows all procedures and policies outlined in the Statement of Work, Physical Plant, and Operations Manuals.
Proficiently operates emergency drills, life safety systems, and follows facility sanitation, escape, and unusual occurrence procedures.
Works necessary hours during work stoppages and accepts reassigned shifts without advanced notice.
Attends and participates in all required appointments and meetings, some of which may be off-site.
Responsible for general housekeeping of the work area, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director.
