About The Position

Centurion Asset Management Inc. is seeking a Resident Manager for one of its apartment communities. The Resident Manager will be responsible for the professional operation, management, administration, and leasing of the community. This role involves managing all related resources, contracts, tools, and supplies to ensure the apartment building is effectively and efficiently managed according to established standards and within budget. The Resident Manager will report to the Senior Property Manager.

Requirements

  • A passion for excellence in customer service delivery.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in customer service and/or property management.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented; able to resolve problems using facts, sound reasoning, and common sense.
  • Strong follow-up skills with the ability to effectively resolve difficult issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, including garbage bins, furniture, and appliances.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and foster positive relationships with co-workers and Residents, ensuring proactive and timely resolution of concerns.
  • Professionally and courteously handle all Resident inquiries, feedback, complaints, or concerns, aiming for a high level of Resident satisfaction.
  • Promote a strong sense of community within the apartment building.
  • Market, show, and rent apartments, providing necessary information and forms, and collecting applications and deposits.
  • Ensure the timely collection and deposit of rental payments, initiating follow-up for overdue payments.
  • Administer and complete minor maintenance and Work Order repairs.
  • Review apartments at turnover and prepare a scope of work consistent with established renovation standards.
  • Ensure vacant apartments are always rent-ready, clean, and fully prepared for move-in.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of building common areas and grounds, ensuring they are free of litter and debris.
  • Ensure lawns are well-trimmed and flower beds are well-maintained.
  • Be accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in person or by phone, to provide essential service in emergency situations (fire, flood, injury).
  • Report any building or apartment concerns or deficiencies promptly to the Senior Property Manager.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Be fully aware and cognizant of fire and life safety procedures and execute them in the event of any emergency.
