About The Position

The Resident Maintenance Technician 3 is responsible for daily troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and all other DEMATIC installed equipment at the Shoemakersville, PA site. Schedule: Monday – Friday 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Occasional overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
  • Proven experience in the area of responsibility and successful demonstration of the position and key tasks as presented above.
  • Ability to be customer-facing while maintaining professional communications through email and in-person conversations with onsite customer leadership, Dematic leadership, and technicians.
  • Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
  • Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds
  • Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree, Skilled trade certification, or equivalent experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintenance, and cleaning of AGVs, including vehicle calibrations, configuration of replacement devices, and lubrication of components.
  • Routine preventative maintenance tasks and testing to ensure AGVs meet specifications.
  • Hydraulic repairs and troubleshooting using hydraulic schematics.
  • Electrical (5V to 480V) repairs and troubleshooting using electrical schematics and electrical testing tools.
  • Troubleshooting of industrial communication networks and devices.
  • Troubleshoot sophisticated AGV errors and understand the resources needed to resolve them.
  • Respond to operational support calls to assist operators with more sophisticated AGV errors.
  • Provide training assistance to AGV operators as needed.
  • Proactively identify and resolve recurring errors using system reporting as part of the continuous improvement process.
  • Record daily work in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including relevant data such as labor hours, maintenance and repair notes, and parts used.
  • Maintain accurate spare parts inventory using an inventory management system.
