The Resident Instructor is responsible for the overall supervision and training of Program Coordinators, Program Managers, and residential staff within an assigned caseload. Key responsibilities include employee management (hiring, training, discipline, evaluation), ensuring residential facilities comply with local, state, federal, and other regulatory standards, and participating in all inspections. The role involves conducting regular audits of case records and programs to ensure thoroughness, consistency, timeliness, and compliance with agency policies and regulations for Behavioral Health residential programs, as well as monitoring and implementing corrective action plans. The Resident Instructor also ensures programs operate within budget, conducts and documents manager trainings and meetings, and assists Program Coordinators with staff training and monitoring client funds. Maintaining effective relationships with client families, guardians, friends, and promoting good community relations are also crucial. Additionally, the position involves assisting with client incident reports, developing systems for program coordination, engaging in professional development, providing emergency program coverage, and contributing to data systems for quality improvement. The role requires strong personal, management, facilitation, and leadership skills to effectively manage programs, staff, and client services.
