About The Position
Keville Enterprises Inc. is seeking a full-time Resident Engineer I to join their team in Rocky Hill, CT. This role involves inspecting public and private construction projects for highway, road, bridge, rail, facilities, water/wastewater, and airport projects. Keville Enterprises, Inc. is an established Construction Management Consulting & Inspection firm, a WBE/DBE Certified company, and has been serving the Construction Management Industry since 1991. They specialize in providing a full spectrum of construction management and support services as an owner's representative on public and private projects.
Requirements
- Experience in inspecting, testing, or managing construction projects
- Fully proficient in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel, and Site Manager
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Eager to learn
- Willing to perform a variety of tasks
- Team player
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in civil, highway or a relevant engineering field
- Three (3) years of this experience shall have been in a field supervision role
- At least four (4) years of which shall have been in field inspection activities
- A current State of Connecticut Professional Engineer's license or CCM Certification
- A Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in a relevant field
- OSHA 10 certification
- Current, valid US State driver's license and a satisfactory driving record (for driving duties)
- Background checks required
- Pre-employment (post-offer) background checks required

Responsibilities
- Inspecting work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications
- Contract administration
- Reporting daily progress
- Tracking and documenting quantities of work performed
- Resolving construction problems and challenges in the field
- Other oversight responsibilities as assigned
