About The Position

As part of the newly developed housing management program, WSC seeks to hire 2 Resident Coordinators for the 2026-27 academic year. As a member of the Housing Office team, the Resident Coordinator serves as the first line of communication and support for residents of the WSC Student Village. This position is open to students (at least completed one year) and spouses who live in the Village. Preference will be given to those who meet the requirements and expectations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate an active Christian faith.
  • Must have lived on campus for at least one year.
  • Must be available during the summer months, especially for move-out inspections in June and move-in inspections in July.
  • If a WSC student, must maintain an average GPA of 3.0.
  • Must be above reproach with regard to WSC Behavioral Standards.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the WSC Housing Policies and Procedures and be willing to address violations with fellow residents.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with a proven ability to be a peacemaker and/or help with conflict resolution.
  • Must have an interest in and willingness to serve in the following ways: Mentor/discipler to residents, Build community among residents, Enforce institutional conduct codes, Serve as community safety officer, Serve as professional steward of the property, Serve as an advocate fostering a positive living environment for residents.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a property manager, resident director/assistant or other similar leadership role preferred.
  • Vacations can be accommodated.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out responsibilities related to resident support and community building.
  • Assist residents with conflict resolution when needed and where appropriate.
  • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections and advise the housing office of charges.
  • Monitor maintenance requests in Buildium to ensure timely response and to assess potential involvement.
  • Coordinate Annual Apartment Condition Self Inspections, where residents take photos and upload to Buildium.
  • Review periodic self-inspection photos and advise residents of any area where corrective action(s) is, if necessary.
  • Coordinate with Facilities Manager to ensure appropriate notice to residents of all vendor repairs and inspections that require entry or interruption of utility services.
  • Security and incident notifications and reporting per the established processes.
  • Document and report any significant, unusual or unpleasant interactions with residents and/or seminary personnel to Housing Committee.
  • Document violations of housing policies in the Buildium system, notify Housing Committee, and notify residents of corrective action(s).
  • Share after-hours on-duty shifts to respond to emergency calls (fire alarms, floods, trespassing, etc.) and document occurrences.
  • Meet with members of the Housing Team, Committee, and/or Dean of Students as requested.
