About The Position
Midwest Health Inc is seeking a Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) to lead its nursing team. The role requires a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and works under the general supervision of the Executive Director. The coordinator helps oversee compliance with policies and applicable state and federal requirements, supports resident admissions, and provides compassionate care that promotes residents’ physical and emotional well-being. The position is located at 2029 Little Kitten Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66503.
Requirements
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Responsibilities
- Review and supervise compliance with policies concerning total patient care, including meal service, activities, housekeeping and laundry, personnel, and public relations, following directives from the Executive Director.
- Explain policies to staff and other concerned parties.
- Monitor personal and staff compliance with state and federal regulations, including requirements related to bloodborne pathogens, infection control, hazardous materials, and resident rights.
- Assist residents with admission and ensure compliance with state and federal admission requirements, including initial advance directives, resident rights information, and required assessments.
- Provide care and compassion to foster residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
