Resident Care Assistant
About The Position
Tarina of Cypresswood, part of the Saga Senior Living family, is hiring experienced Resident Care Assistants (caregivers) to provide residents with personal, hands-on care delivered with dignity and respect. The role works closely with nursing staff and residents’ families and includes supporting residents with daily routines, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, and responding to changes in residents’ health or behavior. Caregivers may also support residents with higher care needs, including memory care. The position is offered in person in Spring, Texas, with part-time morning and full-time evening schedules. Part-time hours are Sunday and Monday from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Full-time hours are Friday through Monday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with Tuesday through Thursday off. Pay is $14.50–$15.00 per hour, with credit for experience. Most applicants hear back within 48 hours.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of senior caregiving experience in assisted living, memory care, home health, long-term care, or a similar setting.
- Availability for either Sunday and Monday, 7:00 AM–1:00 PM, or Friday through Monday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.
- A compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to produce a negative drug test.
- May be subject to a background check.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, personal care with daily routines, including bathing and hygiene, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment while encouraging independence and protecting each resident’s dignity.
- Observe changes in residents’ health or behavior and report them.
- Accurately chart care and work with nursing staff and residents’ families.
- Provide additional support to residents with higher care needs, including memory care, using a calm, patient approach that supports engagement and emotional well-being.
