About The Position
The Resident Care Assistant supports Our Sisters in Our Lady of Victory Convent with activities of daily living and social and spiritual pursuits, to the best of their abilities. The role promotes residents’ dignity, independence, self-determination, privacy, choice, and rights. This is a PRN position with varying hours. Most available hours will be afternoon and evening shifts. Pay is $22.50–$24.50 per hour, depending on experience, with additional shift differentials: $0.75 per hour for second shift and $1.00 per hour for third shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to show compassion and empathy toward residents and associates.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of caregiving experience, or current nursing school student or CNA.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, and provide medication reminders.
- Identify residents’ physical and cognitive changes and make appropriate follow-up decisions, documentation, and communications to appropriate associates.
- Assist residents with leisure-time programming, including escorting them to and from activities.
- Assist with dining services and general housekeeping duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and procedures, including updates.
