About The Position
The Resident Care Assistant (RCA) plays a crucial role in providing care to Assisted Living residents. This position involves supporting residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their rights are upheld, and contributing to a safe and compassionate environment. The RCA role also serves as a stepping stone for individuals looking to advance their healthcare careers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Ability to produce a negative drug test
Responsibilities
- Assist professional nursing staff in providing care to Assisted Living residents.
- Support residents with daily living activities, including personal care, providing fresh water, maintaining cleanliness, changing linens, weighing residents, preparing for meals, and distributing nourishments.
- Ensure Resident Rights are upheld and report any suspected abuse or neglect.
- Serve as a stepping stone toward obtaining healthcare licensure (CNA, LPN, RN, etc.).
- Apply basic sanitation knowledge.
