Resident Assistant, Assisted Living - Part-Time
About The Position
The Resident Assistant provides care and assistance to residents in an assisted living community. The role supports residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment. It also involves transporting residents within the community, responding promptly and safely to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards, and following resident care plans while obtaining vital signs. This is a part-time position scheduled for either 3 p.m.–11 p.m. or 11 p.m.–7 a.m., on varied weekdays and every other weekend.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification.
- Experience working with an elderly population.
- A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as grooming and bathing, and help them maintain their personal environment.
- Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
- Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
- Review and adhere to resident care plans.
- Obtain vital signs.
