About The Position

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant to support residents in an assisted living community. The role includes helping residents with activities of daily living and personal environments, transporting them within the community, responding safely and promptly to requests and emergencies, and following resident care plans. The schedule is either 3 p.m.–11 p.m. or 11 p.m.–7 a.m., on varied weekdays and every other weekend. Compensation starts at $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environments.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and follow resident care plans and obtain vital signs.
