About The Position

Missouri Western State University (MWSU) is hiring Resident Assistants (RAs) for the Fall 2026 & Spring 2027 academic year. This position, which ends on 5/10/2027, is not a student employment position. Selected RAs will receive a scholarship for on-campus housing and a meal plan. RAs live in the residence halls and act as leaders, helpers, and resource persons for students. This involves individual resident interactions, conflict mediation, and community building. RAs are expected to think critically and creatively to solve problems, and to communicate effectively with a diverse student population. They should be able to understand individual student needs, help students establish strong social networks, and connect them with appropriate campus resources.

Requirements

• Must be a MoWest full-time student (minimum of 12 hours undergrad or 6 hours graduate), and no more than 18 hours per semester.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 2.5 or above.
• Must have completed at least one University/College semester (excluding summer, dual credit, and AP/IB).
• Maintain good judicial and Residential Life standing.
• Must be available to move in August 17, 2026 for training prior to the Fall semester.
