About The Position

Daisy Hill Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable Resident Assistant for a PRN, as-needed position. The role provides one-on-one assistance and companionship to residents, supports activities of daily living, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming community. The position requires flexible availability to pick up shifts when coverage is needed, including weekends and holidays. Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required; training is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one assistance, companionship, and meaningful interaction with residents.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, personal hygiene, and mobility according to their service plans.
• Encourage residents' independence while providing appropriate support.
• Help residents attend meals and activities and encourage participation in community programs.
• Observe and promptly report changes in residents' condition, behavior, or needs to the Resident Services Director.
• Assist residents with self-administration of medications according to facility policies and complete required documentation accurately.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established facility procedures.
• Complete assigned housekeeping duties, including making beds, emptying trash, cleaning resident and common areas, doing laundry, and mopping bathroom floors.
• Maintain accurate shift documentation and communicate important information to the incoming team.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Follow through on assigned responsibilities and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
