Resident Assistant, Medication Aide, Long Term Care (LTC)
About The Position
Sanford Health is hiring a Resident Assistant, Medication Aide, for Long Term Care. The role provides individualized, person-centered care in a participant’s home, following established care plans, physician orders, medication protocols, clinical directives, and location standards and procedures. Care includes medication administration and other healthcare services, assistance with activities of daily living, nutritional and mobility support, health and safety monitoring, companionship, and meaningful social engagement. The caregiver coordinates with the interdisciplinary care team to promote participants’ health, dignity, independence, and quality of life, and performs other assigned duties in a caring, safe, and efficient manner.
Requirements
- Complete and maintain the assigned medication administration training program and competencies according to state guidelines.
- Meet the minimum state age requirement if working at a facility where a lift is used to move residents.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
