About The Position

Provides care and services to assisted living residents, including medication assistance or administration, healthcare services, activities of daily living assistance, and other assigned duties. Work is performed in a caring, safe, and efficient manner according to the location’s standards and procedures. This is a PRN night-shift position. The role requires QMAP certification. The department is part of a senior care facility providing assisted living, long-term, and post-acute care services.

Requirements

QMAP certification.
Complete and maintain the assigned medication-administration training program and competencies in accordance with state guidelines.
If working at a facility that uses a lift to move residents, meet the minimum state age requirement.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with self-administration of medications and, with proper training, administer medications.
Assist residents with personal appearance, bathing, cleanliness, toileting, dressing, and undressing.
Help residents transfer, reposition, and walk.
Obtain vital signs accurately and report changes in residents’ health status.
Follow OSHA and CDC infection-minimization guidelines, including aseptic cleaning techniques and bloodborne pathogen precautions.
Use chemicals safely and follow SDS guidelines in the event of exposure.
Help prepare and serve nutritious, appealing meals and snacks in accordance with orders, standards, and regulations.
Fold, hang, and distribute clean linens and personal clothing; prepare and launder soiled linens and clothing.
Clean residents’ rooms and bathrooms, work areas, and other public areas.
Participate in community involvement at the location and work with volunteers.
Complete and maintain assigned medication-administration training and competencies in accordance with state guidelines.
