About The Position

The Resident Assistant/CNA provides hands-on support with residents’ daily activities while building meaningful relationships and helping residents feel comfortable, supported, and at home. The role is based at The Fountains in Cartersville, a Navion Senior Living community in Cartersville, Georgia. This is a part-time opportunity with weekend availability: every other weekend or every weekend.

Requirements

Passion for the senior population.
High school diploma or GED.
State Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work independently with direction from a team leader or manager while maintaining efficient, consistent communication.
Excellent oral communication skills when speaking with other health professionals in residents’ presence.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Nice To Haves

Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain positive working relationships with residents, family members, and staff.
Protect residents’ confidential information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Assist residents with daily living activities, including turning and ambulating them and delivering food and beverages.
Help residents with personal hygiene, including bathing and use of bedpans.
Provide additional care as needed, such as delivering ice packs and dressings or supporting soothing baths after therapy sessions.
Monitor and record food intake and urinary and fecal output for medical and nursing staff.
Process information from other professionals and coordinate with physicians, caregivers, and nurses.
Use infection-control precautions and practices during all activities.
Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures and report safety violations.
