About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides services to assigned residents in accordance with their care plans and facility policies and procedures, and at the direction of supervisors. The role provides compassionate routine daily nursing care and service, assists residents with personal care and meals, and participates in training and educational classes to obtain Nursing Assistant certification. The position is located in Effingham, Illinois, and is scheduled for days, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Requirements

• At least a 10th-grade education; a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication competencies.
• Background and experience in shared decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide assigned residents with compassionate routine daily nursing care and service.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes to obtain certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Assist residents with daily dental, mouth, bath, and other care functions as necessary.
• Prepare residents for meals and serve food; record food and fluid intake.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
