About The Position

The Shipping Coordinator prepares documentation, maintains records, and coordinates product shipments effectively and efficiently according to specifications and regulations. The position requires meeting the essential duties satisfactorily, promoting the company’s ASPIRE values (Attitude, Safety, Passion, Integrity, Relationship, and Evolve), and following company Good Manufacturing Practices and safe practices. The role is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Exceptional phone skills and outstanding customer service skills.
• Ability to work as a team player and effectively across departmental teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and regulated environment.
• Detail orientation, effective time management, and strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify problems, define issues, find root causes, and develop practical solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new approaches and maintain professional technical knowledge.
• Intermediate computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification as needed.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Experience with ERP software.
• Knowledge of databases and ability to create reports.
• Knowledge of GMPs and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations.
• Knowledge of material inspection methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of UPS and FedEx computer programs.

• Prepare shipping documents and labels.
• Ensure the cost effectiveness of shipping methods.
• Resolve shipment and documentation discrepancies.
• Understand and adhere to customer standards.
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.

• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure standards are met before shipping.
