Provides information, referrals, and advocacy services to residents. Handles 24-hour crisis line on shift, facilitates services for residents, and orients new residents to shelter procedures. This role requires daily documentation of services and activities in resident files, adherence to agency and program policies, and successful completion of all training requirements. The Resident Advocate will interact with residents for a minimum of 3 hours per shift, assist with meal preparation, childcare, and chores as needed, and complete safety checks of the shelter during their shift. They must also notify the on-call worker in cases of emergency, restock supplies as needed, and maintain professional boundaries. Obtaining and maintaining CPR and First Aid Certification, as well as attending New Service Provider Training, are also required. Other duties may be assigned.
