About The Position
Clarity Eye Center is seeking a residency-trained optometrist who desires more than routine eye exams. This opportunity is for an ambitious optometrist who enjoys medical eye care, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to work alongside experienced ophthalmic surgeons. The role involves practicing at the highest level of optometry, managing complex ocular disease, co-managing surgical patients, and helping patients achieve life-changing visual outcomes. You will gain experience by working directly with surgeons daily, managing medical conditions such as glaucoma, dry eye, corneal disease, and retinal conditions, and providing pre- and post-operative care for various surgical procedures. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys challenging medical cases and seeks continuous clinical growth.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
- Active Texas Optometry license (or eligibility)
- Passion for medical optometry and ocular disease
- Strong diagnostic and communication skills
- Team-first attitude and commitment to exceptional patient care
Nice To Haves
- Residency training strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Medical management of glaucoma, dry eye, corneal disease, retinal conditions, and other ocular pathology
- Pre-operative and post-operative care for cataract, refractive cataract, glaucoma, and other surgical patients
- Diagnosing and managing complex eye disease
- Collaborating with surgeons on patient care and treatment plans
- Comprehensive medical eye examinations and patient education
