About The Position

The Pathology Residency Program Manager is responsible for the comprehensive administration, coordination, and oversight of the ACGME-accredited Pathology Residency Program. This position serves as the primary administrative resource for the residency program and ensures compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), institutional, state, and federal requirements. The Program Manager works closely with the Program Director, faculty, residents, Graduate Medical Education (GME) office, and institutional leadership to support resident education and program excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Two (2) years of relevant administrative support experience.
  • Knowledge of ETSU and Tennessee Board of Regents policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of graduate medical education and clinical education for medical students.
  • Knowledge of university, medical school, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of health care administration and graduate/post-graduate medical education.
  • Knowledge of requirements for maintenance of ACGME accreditation compliance, ERAS/Thalamus, NRMP, ECFMG policies.
  • Knowledge of the scope of the medical field, credentialing, licensure, practice management, confidentiality, and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws.
  • Knowledge of significant computer skills with the ability to understand and administer database technology.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines and effectively complete work in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently but also work as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and exhibit excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to plan, develop, coordinate, direct, and evaluate policies and procedures.
  • Ability to conceptualize and solve problems.
  • Ability to prioritize and apply skills to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism with all associated duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and (3) years of relevant administrative support experience.
  • Prior experience in graduate medical education is preferred.
